The Hurghada Desert Safari takes you into the Eastern Desert in a private 4x4 Jeep for an afternoon and evening away from the Red Sea coast. Instead of driving a quad or buggy yourself, you travel with an experienced driver and can focus on the desert scenery, Bedouin village and evening programme.
During the tour, you visit a Bedouin village, drink traditional tea and take a short camel ride. Later, you stop for sunset, enjoy a BBQ dinner and, when conditions are suitable, observe the night sky through a telescope.
The tour is operated privately for your own group. A German- or English-speaking guide accompanies you while an experienced driver handles the 4x4 Jeep.

13:00 – Hotel Pickup
The current programme is planned to start at around 13:00.
You are collected from your hotel in Hurghada and travel in the private 4x4 Jeep.
Because the tour is operated only for your booking, you do not share the safari vehicle with a large public group.
After pickup, you leave the coastal resort area and travel towards the Eastern Desert.

13:00 – Jeep Safari Through the Desert
The drive itself is an important part of the Hurghada Desert Safari.
The Jeep travels across unpaved tracks, through dry wadis and over different desert surfaces.
As you move further away from the resort areas, the surroundings become much less built-up.
Photo stops are planned along the way.
You can see mountains, wadis and open areas of the Eastern Desert.
Because some parts of the route can be bumpy, keep your seat belt fastened and follow the driver’s instructions.

On a Jeep safari, you do not need to drive yourself.

Clouds, dust in the air or other weather conditions may affect visibility.

Temperatures After Sunset
Desert temperatures can change noticeably after sunset.
This is especially true during the winter months.
The afternoon may feel warm, but it can become much cooler after dark.
From around November to March, bringing a light jacket or jumper is a good idea.

Once the sky is dark enough, the stargazing session begins.
Away from the bright resort areas, there is usually less artificial light.

What is visible depends on several factors.
