Full Description

The Super Safari Hurghada combines several desert activities in one private afternoon programme. You ride a quad and Spider Buggy, then change to a 4x4 Jeep for a trip into the desert around Hurghada and a visit to a Bedouin village.

Later, the programme includes a short camel ride, a planned sunset stop, BBQ dinner and an evening folklore show.

The tour is private for your own group. You are not joining a large public safari group. However, all driving activities still follow safety rules and depend on the terrain and your ability.

What Makes the Super Safari Different from a Normal Quad Tour?

On a normal quad safari, quad riding is the main activity.

The Super Safari Hurghada combines several vehicle types with a longer afternoon and evening programme.

You change between:

  • Quad

  • Spider Buggy

  • 4x4 Jeep

You also visit a Bedouin village, try a short camel ride, have dinner and watch the evening show.

This can suit you if you want to try several desert activities in one day rather than booking each activity separately.

Itinerary for Your Super Safari Hurghada

The exact order can change because of weather, sunset time, terrain or operating conditions.

The current page shows an early afternoon start.

With the full published programme, you should allow around 6–7 hours in total.

Around 13:30–14:00 – Hotel Pickup

You are collected from your hotel and transferred to the safari station.

The exact pickup time depends on your hotel location and the season.

Sunset is much later in summer than in winter, so the afternoon schedule may also change through the year.

At the safari centre, the preparation for the driving activities begins.

Safety Briefing Before You Start

Before you drive any vehicle, the team explains the main rules.

These include:

  • Throttle

  • Brakes

  • Steering

  • Keeping distance from the vehicle ahead

  • Riding on sand

  • Riding on uneven ground

  • Guide hand signals

  • Rules when stopping

A short practice ride is especially useful for beginners.

If you do not feel confident, say so straight away.

Quad Ride Through the Desert

The current itinerary gives around 30–45 minutes of quad riding.

You travel over desert tracks and unpaved ground.

Depending on the route, you may encounter:

  • Sand

  • Gravel

  • Dry tracks

  • Small bumps

  • Open desert areas

The guide controls the pace.

A private tour does not mean you can ride at any speed you want.

Do You Need Quad Experience?

No.

The tour is also offered to beginners.

A briefing and practice ride take place before departure.

You still need to be able to control the vehicle yourself.

If you do not feel comfortable after the practice ride, do not try to keep up with faster riders.

Safety matters more than speed.

Spider Buggy – Around 30 Minutes

After the quad ride, you change to a Spider Buggy according to the current itinerary.

The published duration is around 30 minutes.

A buggy feels different from a quad.

You sit lower inside a framed vehicle instead of sitting directly on a motorcycle-style machine.

It is still an off-road activity on uneven ground.

Who Can Drive the Buggy?

The live page does not give clear enough age and licence rules for every vehicle type.

For that reason, the following should be confirmed before booking:

  • Minimum driver age

  • Whether a driving licence is required

  • Which children may ride as passengers

  • How many people are allowed in each buggy

The child price alone does not answer these safety questions.

Quad or Buggy – What Feels Different?

On a quad, you sit openly on the vehicle and steer using handlebars.

In a buggy, you sit lower and have a frame around you.

Both activities can still feel:

  • Dusty

  • Bumpy

  • Physically demanding

If you have back or neck problems, do not assume that the buggy will automatically feel comfortable.

4x4 Jeep Safari

After the quad and buggy sections, you continue in a 4x4 Jeep.

The current itinerary gives around 25 km of off-road Jeep travel towards the wadi and Bedouin village area.

You do not drive this part yourself.

An experienced driver controls the Jeep.

Why the Jeep Section Is Useful

The 4x4 can reach routes that feel different from the quad and buggy sections.

It also gives you a chance to rest after the first driving activities.

The Jeep ride is still off-road.

You will still feel bumps and uneven tracks.

Wadis and Desert Mountains

The route travels through the dry desert region west of Hurghada.

Depending on the route, you may see:

  • Dry valleys

  • Rocky mountains

  • Open plains

  • Unpaved desert tracks

The team chooses the exact route according to the conditions on the day.

Visit to a Bedouin Village

A central part of the Super Safari Hurghada is the visit to a Bedouin village or camp.

Here, you receive information about traditional life in the desert region.

The visit takes place as part of an organised safari programme.

It should therefore be described as an organised cultural introduction rather than untouched everyday village life.

Bedouin Tea

Tea is served during the visit.

This gives you time to rest after the driving activities.

Water and soft drinks are also included in the published programme.

After quad and buggy riding, it is important to drink regularly.

Traditions and Daily Life

The main description says you learn more about Bedouin culture and traditional ways of life.

The exact demonstrations or explanations can change.

For that reason, extra craft, cooking or cultural activities should not be promised unless they are part of the confirmed programme.

Short Camel Ride

A short camel ride is included in the standard programme.

It is not a long camel trek across the desert.

The ride is a short part of the Bedouin village visit.

If you do not want to ride, you can skip it.

Camel Ride with Back or Hip Problems

A camel moves noticeably when standing up and sitting down.

This can feel uncomfortable if you have back, hip, knee or balance problems.

If you have these issues, it may be better to skip the camel ride.

You can still join the rest of the Super Safari if the other activities are suitable for you.

Sunset in the Desert

The afternoon tour is planned so that you can see sunset in the desert.

The exact time depends on the season.

One fixed time should therefore not be promised throughout the year.

Clouds, dust and other conditions can also affect how clearly the sunset can be seen.

Is a Particular Sunset Photo Guaranteed?

No.

The sunset stop is planned, but the colours and visibility change from day to day.

Some evenings are clear, while others may be dusty or cloudy.

It is better to expect a planned sunset stop rather than a guaranteed type of photo.

BBQ Dinner

After the driving activities and village visit, a BBQ dinner is served according to the current programme.

The exact menu can change.

If you are vegetarian or have food intolerances, mention this when booking.

The team can then check which options are available.

Soft Drinks and Mineral Water

Mineral water and soft drinks are included according to the current page.

Regular drinking is especially important after several dusty driving activities.

Alcoholic drinks are not listed as part of the standard package.

Folklore Show

After dinner, the published programme includes a folklore show.

The main description specifically mentions:

  • Belly dancing

  • Tanoura

These can therefore be described as part of the current programme.

The exact order and duration may still vary.

Tanoura

Tanoura is a spinning performance where the dancer wears a large colourful skirt.

It forms part of the evening entertainment at the camp.

It should be described as a show for visitors rather than unchanged historic Bedouin tradition.

Return to the Safari Centre

After the evening programme, the return begins.

The Jeep takes you back towards the safari station.

From there, you are transferred to your hotel.

Your exact return time depends on:

  • Sunset

  • Evening programme

  • Hotel location

  • Road and desert conditions

How Long Does the Super Safari Hurghada Really Take?

The live page currently gives two different timings:

  • Page header: around 5 hours

  • Pricing section: around 7 hours

The detailed programme includes:

  • Hotel transfer

  • Briefing

  • Quad for 30–45 minutes

  • Buggy for around 30 minutes

  • Jeep for around 25 km

  • Bedouin village

  • Camel ride

  • Sunset

  • BBQ

  • Folklore show

  • Return journey

For this full programme, around 6–7 hours is the more realistic description.

Super Safari Hurghada with Children

Families can also enquire about the tour.

Children cannot automatically take part in every driving activity on their own.

The live page says younger children may ride as buggy passengers, join a parent on the quad or travel in the Jeep.

This should still be checked against the current operator rules before booking.

Child Prices

The current booking system uses:

  • Adults: 12 years and over

  • Children 6–11: 50% of the adult price

  • Children 0–5: free

The price does not automatically mean that a child may drive a quad or buggy.

Provide the exact age of each child when enquiring.

Young Children and Quad Riding

Extra care is needed with very young children.

A free booking does not automatically mean that a small child can safely ride on a quad.

Before joining, confirm:

  • Minimum age

  • Seating arrangement

  • Helmet size

  • Current operator rules

The Jeep section may be easier for younger children than the quad or buggy sections.

Is the Tour Family-Friendly?

The tour lasts several hours and includes:

  • Dust

  • Heat

  • Off-road riding

  • Several vehicle changes

  • Evening programme

Some children may enjoy this.

Others may find it tiring after several hours.

For calmer family activities, you can compare more options here:

Pregnancy

Quad, buggy and Jeep sections all use uneven desert tracks.

For that reason, the Super Safari should not automatically be considered suitable during pregnancy.

If you are pregnant, ask your doctor whether this type of off-road activity is appropriate.

Mention the pregnancy when making your enquiry as well.

Back, Neck or Joint Problems

This tour combines three different off-road vehicles.

That can make it more physically demanding than a Jeep-only safari.

If you have significant problems with your:

  • Back

  • Neck

  • Hips

  • Knees

  • Joints

it may be worth choosing a calmer desert programme.

Limited Mobility

Quad and buggy activities require enough movement to get in, get out and control the vehicle safely.

The Jeep section is less demanding, but getting into a higher vehicle may still be difficult.

Other possible challenges include:

  • Uneven ground

  • Sand

  • Camel ride

  • Low or high seats

  • Longer periods sitting during off-road travel

If you use a wheelchair or need help walking, mention this before booking.

Super Safari or Jeep-Only Safari?

A Jeep-only safari may suit you better if you:

  • Do not want to drive

  • Want less direct dust exposure

  • Do not need quad or buggy activities

  • Prefer a less physically demanding programme

The Super Safari is better if you want to try several vehicle types in one day.

What Should You Wear?

For the Super Safari Hurghada, we recommend:

  • Comfortable clothing

  • Long trousers or trousers covering the knees

  • Closed shoes

  • Sunglasses

  • Sun cream

  • Scarf or keffiyeh

  • Light jacket in winter

Flip-flops and loose sandals are not practical for quad or buggy riding.

Protection from Dust

Quad and buggy riding creates much more direct dust exposure than travelling inside a closed vehicle.

A scarf can help cover your mouth and nose.

Sunglasses help protect your eyes from wind and dust.

If protective goggles are offered, confirm whether they are included or available for an extra charge.

Helmet and Safety Equipment

A suitable helmet should be worn during quad riding.

Follow the relevant safety instructions for the buggy as well.

The helmet should:

  • Fit your head properly

  • Be fastened

  • Stay on during the ride

If the helmet does not fit, ask the team for another size.

What to Bring

Useful items include:

  • Closed shoes

  • Comfortable clothing

  • Sunglasses

  • Sun cream

  • Scarf for dust

  • Personal medication

  • Phone or camera

  • Power bank

  • Light jacket in winter

  • Some cash for personal expenses

Loose items should be stored safely while driving.

Safari Scarf

A safari scarf or keffiyeh is not included in the standard price according to the current exclusions.

It may be available to buy locally.

You can also bring your own light scarf.

Photos During the Tour

You can use your own phone or camera.

The live page lists professional photography as an additional service.

If a photographer takes pictures during the tour, you are not required to buy them.

No Planned Shopping Stops

The live page positions the tour without planned shopping stops.

An optional scarf or photography service is different from a compulsory shop visit.

You do not need to visit papyrus, perfume or souvenir shops.

Pickup from Different Red Sea Resorts

The current page offers the Super Safari from:

  • Hurghada

  • El Gouna

  • Sahl Hasheesh

  • Makadi Bay

  • Soma Bay

  • Safaga

  • Marsa Alam

  • El Quseir

Direct hotel transfer is listed as part of the offer.

However, the page does not publish a clear supplement table for all resorts further away.

If you are staying outside Hurghada, confirm:

  • Whether transfer is available

  • Whether a supplement applies

  • Pickup time

  • Whether the total duration changes

Best Time of Year for the Super Safari Hurghada

  • Want to visit a Bedouin village

  • Want to try a short camel ride

A regular quad biking tour mainly focuses on riding the quad. The Super Safari, on the other hand, offers a complete desert experience with different vehicles, cultural insights, and an evening entertainment program.
No. Before the tour begins, you will receive a safety briefing and a short practice ride. The vehicles are easy to operate and suitable even for beginners.

We recommend wearing: Closed-toe shoes Comfortable clothing Sunglasses A scarf or shawl to protect against desert dust A light jacket for the evening (especially during winter)
