Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Alexandria – Mediterranean Charm & Ancient History
After a short domestic flight to Cairo, your private Egyptologist will meet you at the airport. You will then travel approximately 2.5 hours to Alexandria.
In Alexandria, you will visit the fascinating Catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa, an underground necropolis showcasing a unique blend of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman art.
Continue to Pompey’s Pillar, an impressive 26.85-meter granite column.
Finally, visit the Qaitbay Citadel, a stunning coastal fortress built on the remains of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Enjoy breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea.
Day 2: Cairo – Journey to the Ancient Wonders
After breakfast at your hotel, travel approximately 2.5 hours back to Cairo.
Visit the world-famous Pyramids of Giza, the only surviving wonder of the ancient world. Admire the Great Pyramid, built from over 2.3 million limestone blocks, and stand before the mysterious Sphinx guarding the plateau.
After lunch, explore the spectacular Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), home to one of the world’s most important collections of ancient Egyptian artifacts.
To complete your experience, explore Islamic Cairo and the legendary Khan El-Khalili Bazaar, a 14th-century labyrinth of narrow streets filled with spices, leather goods, silver, and traditional crafts – offering an authentic glimpse into old Cairo.
After the tour, private transfer to the airport for your return flight and transfer back to your hotel at the Red Sea.
