Day 1 – Arrival in Cairo | Historic Cairo

Upon arrival in Cairo, you will be welcomed and transferred privately to your hotel.

Depending on your arrival time, your first sightseeing program begins with your Egyptologist.

Explore historic Cairo, including the traditional Khan El Khalili Bazaar and El-Moez Street, one of the most important historic streets of Islamic Cairo.

After your sightseeing program, return to your hotel.

Day 2 – Pyramids of Giza, Great Sphinx & Grand Egyptian Museum

After breakfast, your day begins at the famous Giza Plateau.

Together with your Egyptologist, visit the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre and Menkaure and the Great Sphinx of Giza.

The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World.

Afterwards, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) and discover important artifacts spanning thousands of years of Egyptian history.

Afterwards, enjoy a traditional felucca ride on the Nile and visit Aswan’s local market.

Day 5 – Abu Simbel → Kom Ombo

Early in the morning, depart for Abu Simbel, south of Aswan.

Visit the Great Temple of Ramses II, with its monumental seated statues, and the smaller rock-cut temple dedicated to the goddess Hathor and Queen Nefertari.

Your Egyptologist will explain the history of the temples and the international rescue project that relocated the complex to higher ground during the 1960s.

After returning to Aswan, your Nile cruise continues downstream.

At Kom Ombo, visit the remarkable double temple dedicated to the gods Sobek and Harwer.

After the visit, continue sailing along the Nile.

Today you will visit the Temple of Horus at Edfu, one of the best-preserved ancient temples in Egypt.
