A Personal Tip from Our Egyptologist
More than 17 years of experience and over 3,000 guided tours throughout Egypt.
One of the most interesting aspects of this journey is the opportunity to experience different periods of Egyptian history along a single route: from the Old Kingdom pyramids at Giza to the great temples and royal tombs of the New Kingdom in Luxor and the later temple complexes at Edfu and Kom Ombo.
My tip is to keep your final days in Hurghada free of an extensive sightseeing schedule. After Cairo, Abu Simbel and several days exploring the Nile Valley, the Red Sea provides a welcome contrast at the end of the journey.
