Your Tour Itinerary
Day 1 – Cairo: Pyramids and Grand Egyptian Museum
Depending on your selected option, you will either travel privately to Cairo or be transferred to Hurghada Airport for the domestic flight to Cairo.
Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx
On the Giza Plateau, visit the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.
The Great Pyramid of Khufu is the only surviving Wonder of the Ancient World. Afterward, visit the Great Sphinx.
Admission to the interior of certain pyramids is not included in the regular standard ticket and may be booked separately, subject to availability.
Grand Egyptian Museum
After lunch, visit the Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM) near Giza. Its extensive collections provide an overview of different periods of ancient Egyptian history.
Khan el-Khalili
If the day’s schedule and flight times allow, you will then visit Khan el-Khalili, where you can stroll through the historic lanes of Cairo’s traditional bazaar district.
Overnight stay in a 4-star hotel in Cairo.
Day 2 – Bahariya, the Black Desert and the White Desert
After breakfast, leave Cairo and travel toward the Bahariya Oasis, approximately 370 kilometers southwest of the city.
In Bahariya, transfer to an off-road vehicle for the desert tour.
Black Desert
The landscape of the Black Desert differs significantly from the white limestone formations you will encounter later. Dark hills and layers of rock dominate the scenery here.
El Heiz and Crystal Mountain
The route continues through the desert toward El Heiz and Crystal Mountain. Located between Bahariya and Farafra, this geological formation is known for its visible crystal structures.
Wadi El Agabat
Continue through Wadi El Agabat, where pale rock formations and expanses of sand combine to create a particularly distinctive desert landscape.
White Desert
Toward evening, arrive in the White Desert. Its characteristic white chalk and limestone formations have been shaped over long periods by natural erosion. The area is now designated as a protected reserve.
Dinner will be prepared at the camp after sunset.
Overnight stay at the desert camp.
Day 3 – White Desert and Return to the Red Sea
After breakfast, begin the day once again amid the extraordinary scenery of the White Desert.
In the morning light, you can experience some of the area’s characteristic rock formations from a different perspective before beginning the return journey.
Leave the desert region via Bahariya and continue toward the Red Sea.
Depending on your selected option, you will either travel privately to Hurghada or be transferred to Cairo Airport for the domestic flight to Hurghada.
A Personal Tip from Our Tour Guide
17 years of experience and more than 3,000 guided tours throughout Egypt.
In the White Desert, pay particular attention to how dramatically the landscape changes with the light. The white formations consist of chalk rock shaped into a remarkable variety of forms by wind and erosion. Their contours are especially striking in the late afternoon and early morning.
