From the cultural highlights of Cairo to the green oases of Fayoum and Bahariya, and deep into the untouched Sahara, you will experience the Black Desert, the White Desert, the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Wadi El Hitan, and the historic oases of Dakhla and Kharga before your journey reaches its grand finale in ancient Luxor.
The expedition begins in Cairo and ends in Luxor. Hotel transfers or domestic flights, for example from or to Hurghada, can be arranged upon request.

Day 1 – Arrival in Cairo
Upon arrival, you will be welcomed by your personal Egyptologist.
Together, you will visit the impressive Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), one of the world’s most important museums, with around 200,000 artifacts.
Afterwards, your journey continues towards the Fayoum Oasis.

Day 2 – Fayoum Oasis
Today, you will discover the natural highlights of the Fayoum Oasis.
Visit Wadi El Rayan with its natural waterfalls, the color-changing Magic Lake, and Tunis Village, renowned for its traditional pottery and artistic community.

Day 3 – Wadi El Hitan & Bahariya Oasis
Today’s journey takes you to Wadi El Hitan, the famous Valley of the Whales and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Surrounded by fossils that are millions of years old, you will learn why this region is considered one of the world’s most important geological sites.
Afterwards, continue to the green Bahariya Oasis.

Day 4 – Black Desert & White Desert
Your Sahara adventure begins aboard a private 4×4 vehicle.
Travel through the dramatic Black Desert, visit Crystal Mountain, and explore the spectacular Wadi El Agabat before arriving at the White Desert National Park.
In the evening, enjoy a traditional Bedouin dinner around the campfire and spend the night beneath the breathtaking star-filled sky of the Sahara.

Day 5 – Djara Cave & Dakhla Oasis
Today, you will visit the remote Djara Cave, a fascinating stalactite and stalagmite cave in the middle of the Sahara.
The journey then continues to the historic Dakhla Oasis, known for its traditional mud-brick villages and archaeological sites.

Day 6 – Dakhla Oasis
Spend the day discovering the historic oasis, its ancient settlements, palm groves, and important cultural monuments.
Here, you will experience authentic oasis life far away from mass tourism.

Day 7 – Kharga Oasis
Today, you will reach the largest oasis in Egypt’s Western Desert.
Visit the famous El Bagawat Necropolis, as well as important temples and historic monuments that reveal the region’s long history of settlement.

Day 8 – Arrival in Luxor
After crossing the Western Desert, you will arrive in the fertile Nile Valley.
To conclude your expedition, visit the monumental Luxor Temple and walk along the impressive Avenue of Sphinxes.

Day 9 – Departure or Tour Extension
After breakfast, your desert expedition comes to an end.
Upon request, a private transfer can be arranged to the airport or to your chosen extension hotel.
